Pok Oi Hospital

Foreword

Pok Oi Hospital was established in 1919, and has been serving as an important hospital for the local Yuen Long community for more than 80 years. To meet the increasing health care demand of the New Territories West, the Government announced the redevelopment of Pok Oi Hospital in 1998.

The design of the new hospital adopts the “FINE” principle: Family-based, Information Technology Driven, Networking with Community and a Green & Healing Environment.

The Pok Oi Hospital redevelopment and expansion project had a capital funding of HKD 2.1 billion and was completed in 2006, projecting a new image of cleanliness and advanced technology, and will use the phased approach for various service commencements. We will closely monitor population growth and needs of local residents, continuously update our health care services, demonstrating our spirit of “We Love We Care We Serve”.

Pok Oi Hospital Tin Ka Ping Infirmary

Infirmary Service
Pok Oi Hospital Tin Ka Ping Infirmary has commenced its service since 1994. All infirmary beds for provision to patients are on the Central Infirmary Waiting List of the Hospital Authority. There are three infirmary wards in Pok Oi Hospital's Tin Ka Ping Infirmary, under the care of experienced Medicine & Geriatrics doctors, and will also be attended by nurses with advanced practice, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Dietician, Speech Therapist, Medical Social Worker, etc.
